I posted this same question in the parts section, but realized I may have better luck here.

I need to couple an SAE A (11 spline 3/4" male connector) pump to my tractor, which has an SAE B (13 spline 7/8" female connector) end.

What is the best way to do this? I can't find any direct adapter for this configuration.

Thank you for that site, J_J. I can't seem to find specifications or part numbers for splined connectors for these couplings. Are they special order items?

Did you look through the PDF on the tight side of the page?

L Type Hub - Spline Bore UPC Number Selection Table

Give them a call and ask if the spline chart is what you need.

Sorry, I should have been specific in what I couldn't find. It appears that there are only female couplings, no male ended connections, but I'll find out more tomorrow. Thank you, again.

I think I know what you are looking for, it's more like a sleeve. I have seen them and have been trying to think where I have seen them used on. Hang in there for a little while.

Leejohn, a sleeve-type adapter would work, or a Lovejoy coupling with a male splined end. Thanks.
