Looking at your picture of the pb the two on the left are what I purchased with the valve from the store rep. He told me where they were placed . I plugged the original port with the plug he sold me, and removed the plug from the pb port and inserted the pb valve you show above the bottom plug. I did not have a plug with the hex that you show on the right

some picsView attachment 422314View attachment 422315 the second picture shows the port from the first valve body to the second valve body . originally the return is where the plug is and where it is connected is the changeup to power beyond that I was told I needed to hook up the second valve. also in the second pic I do not have one hose hooked up to the splitter piston yet in case you are wondering why just did not have it done when the pic was taken.

Where is the tank line going on the one spool valve?

If going to tank, then OK, but is going to another valve, you need PB.

The tank line from the single valve body is going to the tank

I want these two cylinders to work together, when the saw goes out the log stop cyl come out to stop log, when I pull the saw in to cut wood the stop cyl retracts to allow clearance for the log to fall.

that would be the power beyond line which goes into the single valve

No, that is the PB line, where is the tank line going.

I see a plug in what I think is tank port.

Each valve should have a tank port.

The princess auto hyd rep told me to plug that port ,this originally was the tank port, he sold me the plug and the adapter for the pb port and told me to do this, you may be right I will question him on Monday

It is written in stone, that if you use the PB port, you must run a tank hose to tank.

You see, the PB adapter is there to separate the valves galleries into tank gallery and a PB gallery.

So when you use a cyl, the cyl expended fluid has somewhere to go. Right now, you have the tank port plugged. Unplug it and add a hose and run it to tank.

When you first get an open center valve, the outer PB port is usually plugged.

What happens is that the pump flow and cyl flow dumps into the tank port, and everything is well.

I would make them swallow the cost of motor replacement if you can prove he told you to plug the tank port.
