Hydraulic Pressure Gauge

Howdy ....I have a 2501 with a backhoe and loader. Where is a good place to install a pressure gauge ? Would the location cover pressures on both ?

Gauge in pressure line from the pump to the first valve in your circuit would show pressure for all the components in that circuit. Or install test points at both valves to verify pressure available at each valve.

I suspect flow goes from pump to loader valve, then from loader valve to backhoe.

Open center Hydraulic system does not give pressure till valved into a circuit. Have pressure gauge on my loader lift circuit to monitor Kubota soft ride system in real time use. It will show pressure against a load or deadhead relief valve pressure.

You could have fittings, tees and disconnects to read other circuits as well. My tractor has multiple pumps and relief valves. It would take over ten gauges to be able read all the loader, 3rd function , thumb and backhoe hydraulic circuits at once.
