On a Jinma 284 there is an inlet pipe, part no. 59 that is connected by a bolt, part no. 58. On each side of the pipe is a rubber washer, part no.25. Actually listed in the parts catalog as part no FHDQ20 described as Washer 20. My question is this a 20 MM rubber washer and if so is it flat or o ring. If any of that makes sense. Thanks, Pat

OK I figured it out. I took it apart and its a rubber coated flat metal washer. Will go to NAPA tomorrow and take the old on with me and get replacements.

They are probably 20MM ID, as I believe the banjo bolt that fits thru the middle is 18MM...

Yep, Ron, 20 MM it is. The NAPA store near me does a lot of hydraulic work. They should have it. One other question, one of the screw on hoses at the bottom of the controller is leaking iven though it is tight. Can I use PVC tape to tape it if I am careful not to get it in the lines?

I don't recommend it. The potential for problems with tape isn't worth the buck you'd spend for a little tube of thread compound. NAPA may have that too. If not, any hardware store will. And for a little more, you can buy liquid Teflon thread compound that you apply with a brush. I haven't used it personally, I've got plenty of the tube-type. But I've seen it used at dealer service departments.

What Greg said, use a liquid thread sealant. I have grown partial to a sealant called "Blue Seal" Available at any Sunset hardware...

OOOPS I meant do-it-best hardware, national chain, found most anywhere

Nobody in town, actually in this county has 20MM washers for hydraulic lines so I ordered from Tommy. I will get a tube of the sealant for the other line. Thanks for that tip.

Too bad, I have several sizes of them here - just gathering dust. If you find yourself short in the future, they're also available in most Japanese motorcycle parts departments.

I will keep you in mind if I need more Greg. I never would have thought of motorcycle shops.

Got the parts and got it put back together. Not as easy to line up and screw in the bolt as I had hoped. But we are up and running again.
