Hydraulic lift control on LS G3033 not lowering shredder

Hello all,

I'm a newby to LS and owning a tractor. I just received my new LS G3033 this morning. I planned to move it to a better location when I got off work so I started it up(package with shredder already hooked up), used the hydraulic lift to raise the shredder and moved the tractor next to the barn. Once there, I was unable to lower the shredder with the Hydraulic lift control position lever. I tried to adjust the "Down speed control knob" using the user manual as a guide but I still could not lower the implement. I could move the lever up or down but nothing happened with the 3 point hitch. Am I missing something? I actually read the manual but did not see anything obvious.

Update: There is a bolt that controls the pressure for the lift under the seat. I plan to back that bolt out just slightly(according to my vendor) which should open the stuck valve. Probably the case for many tractor types. Note of safety! Implement is up at high point so will have to proceed with caution and not back the bolt out too far or too fast. Should solve my issue. I already adjusted the stops at the top and bottom of the hydraulic lift lever to avoid this issue in the future.

There is a control knob, (not a bolt) under the seat that controls the drop rate of the 3 PH arms. It can also be tightened down completely to lock the arms in position. If tightened (clockwise direction when facing the rear ) do not attempt to operate the lift using the levers to the right as this knob stops all flow and moving the control lever will cause the pump to go into relief mode and the arms wont lift or lower. With an implement hooked up as with your shredder, loosen the knob (centered under the seat) counter-clockwise till the implement falls at the speed that you want. It should fall quickly but not slam down. There should be no reason to adjust anything else on your tractor. There is some adjustment that can be done to the lift/lower lever if the pump continues to cycle when full up but that should be done by your dealer if required. That shouldn't be a problem with a new tractor.

Does the R-O-D valve operate differently on a LS tractor than other brand tractors?? On JD & Kubota tractors I've been around with R-O-D valve closed operating 3 pt control lever doesn't cause hyd system to go in relief but the 3 pt hitch just won't lower any further.

If I am thinking right, the 3pt lift lever will allow fluid to enter the 3pt cyl, and the same lever can release the fluid in the cyl.

The descent adjust lever is in the release path and will allow one to adjust the rate of descent or lock the fluid in place for transport.

It is possible for the adjust rod to stick in place, or might be some debris in the port.

You could remove all parts of the descent assembly and perhaps force anything out that should not be there. Do not stand in front of the outlet .
