Any suggestions on where to get some hoses made up. I'm adding a couple of "3rd function's" to my Mahindra 4025 and probably looking for 1/2 in JIC female to female hoses in various lengths.

I did, I also looked at Discount Hydraulics, Summit, and New line. Just looking for input, good or bad, from people who have ordered hoses online.

I get my hoses locally most of the time but did order some from Agri Supply recently. They were very reasonable.

I buy all of mine from Ag South(Supply). But I do have a store near me. Their hoses are very reasonably priced and they have all sizes and lengths.

Except for onesy-twosy stuff I need immediately, I get all my job hydraulics from Surplus Center. Scroll down the page to hoses and fittings. They are "realistic" on shipping too. Shipping on four large cylinders came to $76 and I got them, in two boxes, in three days. I can't even buy hoses and fittings locally for less than SC. Plan out your work and you can save a lot of money.

DiscountHydrauicHose or SurplusCenter. One is cheaper for pre-made lengths, the other for custom lengths. If I need something right away or really unusual I go to the local hydraulic supplier and have them make the hoses.

JIC/JIC is really common. You can use old garden hose to mock up the hose runs for length.

If you don't need special fittings, such as ORFS, or angles like 45°, 90°, I second Surplus Center. They offer female swivel JIC ends.

I have used the local NAPA store with good results.

Local O'Rileys Auto Parts can make hoses, only problem all the end fitting and such is only what Parker supplies.... Had a hose failed on my MF SCUT I found out Parker did no supply the exact fitting needed so no go there, but was able to go 35 miles to large farm supply and get hose made up, also had to use "odd" adapter but yes a working hose is a working hose....

Surplus Center did come though for "generic" hoses for my log splitter.....

Right now I am looking at Discount hydraulics to make up the hoses I need. 2 wire, 1/2 in, 3000 psi rated with jic female swivel on either end.

I have never worked with hydraulics a lot so this is a learning experience. I am adding a "D" spool motor controller and an "A" spool 3rd function to the front end while also a "T" in the 3rd function to the rear and panel mounting the rear connectors along with the power beyond connections to the backhoe.

Big learning curve, but i think I have it figured out.

We have a Carquest that will make Gates hoses.

Very fortunate here. We have a company in Spokane that deals with everything hydraulic. House of Hose. I've had them make up hose for me and purchased quite a bit hydraulic from them.

I'm kinda gun-shy on generic brands. I even have some made in usa Parker hoses that are cracking prematurely.

I had a local shop making my hoses for a while that used a different brand every time I went. One hose they sold me was made in Italy and failed in 3 years.

Hoping to have better luck with Gates.

Choose your hose carefully depending on how tight you will have to route them:

R16-08 | 1/2" SAE 100R16 Hydraulic Hose has a bend radius of 3.5" &

R2-08 | 1/2" SAE 100R2AT Hydraulic Hose has a bend radius of 7".

I have used discount hydraulic hoses a few times in the past with very fast service. KC

A note on surplus center hoses. With these cheap hoses if the house could get bumped and is fairly small I wouldnt use a surplus center hose. I went through 2x on my excavator thumb then went to weather head brand. Granted this is a 1/4in hose.

I have surplus center 3/4in hoses on a log splitter and tractor loader with no issues.

For you needs..fairly well protected and fairly big, 1l/2in I would use surplus center hoses. I have also had prety good luck with chinese quick couplers. Although amazon was cheaper than surplus center.
