Well I don't know what it would be for tractors. I've never had a tractor with a temp. display for the hydraulics.
In the plant where I work off farm we have the shut down temp. set point at 155 f. But this is for hydraulic oil only. Normal operating temp. for these units is 110 -140. I've seen one unit that got to hot. The shut down interlock failed and the oil turned to tar. Or it looked like tar anyway. I didn't shoot it with a heat gun but from touching the tank I expect it was well over 200 deg. We do have one large system that we run up to 165. It has a little over 1,400 gal. in that system. Very large flow.
