Need to replace / service hydraulic fluid in my tractor. Tractor bought in December of '05 and is a 5500 fwd with Fel and rear remotes. Manual states to "remove top plate and drain plugs" but fails to illustrate or explain their respective locations on the tractor. Manual also makes reference to servicing the "orifice filter" and again makes no additional reference as to where the "orifice filter" is located.

Stand in the rear of the tractor and below the Rt side of the seat you will see where the hydraulic return line comes from the loader valve and goes into the hydraulic reservoir. Follow this line to the loader valve and undo it from the loader valve. Lower the hose into a drain pan and drain it from there. The fill plug is located on the top of the reservoir directly above where the loader return goes in. I hope this is understandable and helpful.

THanx Galen for the info. Dropping the hydraulic suction filter also helped.
