Hydraulic deck lift on a ZD1211

Looking forward to getting my new ZD1211 (60" SD deck) this week. Anxious even more because I ordered it with the Air Ride seat from the ZD1511. I'm currently using a '08 Toro ZMaster diesel w/52".

New to Kubotas with the hydraulic deck lift. On my Toro I tend to raise and lower the deck (manual) up to say 10-12 times per mow to get over some raised roots or crossing the gravel driveway etc.

Is there a concern if I use the Hydro lift in the same way? Can you use it too much?

Nah use it much as needed.
it sure is handy & fast.
I never completely stop.
you'll love the machine.
the ZD has a real transmission & no silly pumps at the wheels + a shaft driven deck
Fast blade tip speed
The pivoting front axle is a nice feature for uneven ground & rides better

If you use it too much your grass will look funny and not very even height!

Thanks for the replies. Again its really just in spots I know the tree roots are too high, and gravel areas after my son tears up the driveway with his quad (argh)

What height will you be mowing at ?
the #’s on dial knob are only for reference. Their not actual blade height btw

I raise and lower mine frequently for roots and cresting hills to avoid scalping. Both of my ZD mower deck lifts raise way too fast for my taste, so I may look into somehow using a restrictor to slow it down.

Not an issue raising & lowering the deck frequently. I raise & lower mine dozens of times each mowing.
I agree that the raise & lower functions are very fast. All you need to do is quickly tap the up or down to raise or lower but it is nice when you hit something.

I have a zd21 and use it religiously. It's standard hydraulics, there should be no issue, it's no more complicated than tilting your bucket on your tractor. I don't' know about yours but the zd21 seat adjusted properly for my weight is a dream.
