Hydarulic flow

Can someone explain how the hydraulic flow works for the ICV on my tractor? There are three lines. One supply, one return and one sump. The supply is obvious but the other two I'm a little confused on. The sump returns to the transmission case and the return runs to the flow control/rock valve.

What Does the ICV valve operate? Is this for auxilary functions like FEL?

Sounds like possibly a setup where the pump flow goes to the ICV. If the ICV is operated return oil from the ICV goes to the sump.
If the ICV is not operated flow goes thru the return line to the rock shaft I.e similar to power beyond function.

Agree the service manual is a little vague.

Yes it is for the FEL. I have been looking for a kit for the PBY but it appears they don't make it anymore. From what you are telling me then it is truly not a PBY as they are plumbing the kit into the return line from the FEL to the Rock Valve.

Looking at the above drawing the PBY in rerouted to a port at the rear. What they are calling the return use to be the supply for the three point. They have a hose over when your not using the ports so the three point works. How would you use a log splitter on something like this if your not suppose to run another valve is series from a return line?
