Hello & WELCOME to TractorByNet.com! :)

I moved your thread to the Hydraulics Forum. You'll get a better response there. ;)

Please state what the problem is. Do you have flow to the BH. Have you set the BH relief pressure?

Recheck the QD connections. Determine if the BH will go into relief.

Is the 3pt working?

I to am having backhoe problems I bought jd 955 and the front bucket works well and the backhoe doesnt move yet, is there a valve or something that need s turned tnanks auction special for 6k 4wd .. was that a fair deal if it works? thanks bd

It would depend on the hose connection that you made for the BH. Are all the valves in series? Are the hoses connected correctly. Are the QD's fully functional.
Does the 3pt work?

bought at auction for 6 k as is , tractor moves front bucket seems ok
hoe wont move
backhoe has bad o rings , leaks, on top of hoe chest havent got it loaded and brought it home yet it may be [ probably is low on fluid ] not sure where the fluid reservoir is , but I ll find it, what kind of fluid do I use? hoe is sticking straight back need to get it folded up to haul it . I thought there might be valve that had to be moved to make the hoe too work.

does this hoe have good power if it is working well?

this is the 955 JD 33 hp about all I know about it so far , it is the quick connect version that uses the hydraulics of off tractor [not the one that uses pump from pto shaft thanks again

Build your self a hyd pressure tester, about $30. Check all the fluids first. Check the QD's to make sure the BH is getting fluid.

To fold the boom, with no fluid flow, remove the hoses at the cyl's, and use a boom pole or crane to lift the boom so it will fold and lock it down for transport. Don't stand too close as fluid may squirt out when lifting.

I have a JD 4200 with #7 hoe.
If it"s a #7 hoe:

Get onto the John Deere site and download a set of operating instructions. I'd forward mine but I'm far from home.

There may be a valve just behind your left foot below the seat that may be open?? [mine is a round black knob type.]If this valve is closed the three point will not work but the backhoe should.

The hydraulic hose's quick couplers to the back hoe should be between the two seats and between the frame mountings.

This information is based on bad memory and a JD4200 with a #7 hoe attached.

The hoe runs off of the tractor internal pumps. Should be three in the hydro transmission case. The reservoir is the hydrostatic system and may have a site glass on the rear behind the hoe. Very hard to see. The fill may be under the right hand side of the tractor seat. It uses the same fluid as the hydro does. There are points to test pressure at the bottom front left of the transmission. The instructions call for a 10,000 psi gauge as somewhere along the line you may see 6000psi.
