Husqvarna stops running with wheel turned left.

My Husqvarna LR 122 with Brigs and Stratton 12 HP engine backfires and stops after the wheel is turned left, whether it is moving or parked. I have looked for contact between any moving parts and wires, cleaned the bowl and checked fuel filters. This does not happen when I turn the wheel right. Any suggestions?

Something has to be grounding / pulling apart an electric connection to the ignition. Most likely the magneto ground. I'd block the front axle up so the wheels turn easily and watch what happens. Turn the wheel until it quits and follow the wiring, should lead to something causing the problem.

Look at your steering shaft and gear and sector. wire has to be caught or rubbing on it.

Well the Husqvarna is up and running. Thanks everyone for your help. Turns out it was electrical and just one little spot on the left drag link would come in contact with a group of wires that were both coated and covered in a second layer of plastic tubing. Just moved the bundle over a few inches and good as new. Again, thanks everyone for your help.
