It seems that my Husky 2754 is getting slower over the years.
Especially in reverse. When I move to reverse position, it barely creeps backwards.
I'm certain that it moved faster when I bought it new in 2006.
I thought the belt from the engine to tranny was slipping, so I put a new one on, but that didn't change anything.
I looked for some place to maybe add more hydro fluid, but don't see anything.

Any suggestions ? Other than buying a John Deere :)

Some things to check.
Linkage on the pedals for wear or slop preventing full movement of the control arm on the HST.

Drain the fluid and installing synthetic 15w-50 . Helps reduce the leakage losses if the HST is worn If you can find a drain and fill port.

I looked at the parts list for an 2754 and it listed the Tufftorq K46 which has a history of being a repair prone HST. I recall that someone had posted rebuild instructions for this model on this site somewhere. Possibly do search for k46 or tufftorq.

Deere used the same tranny with the same problem so you would just be changing the color of paint on the machine.

Also check the linkage for cracks or breaks-and its not a Husky its a Husqvarna. Husky is a different brand.
