Husky YTH 1542 oil drain valve won’t open

Like the title says when I insert a screw driver or use a hex wrench on the drain “bolt “, the soft plastic just deforms and doesn’t move. The manual says to push and turn the entire valve CC to open but it feels tightly bolted to the engine.
Any advice? Thanks

Is this the style of drain where you attach a short piece of hose and then turn the plastic exterior counter clockwise a short distance and the pull a short distance? If you clean the assembly well you should see an “L” shaped slot in the plastic sleeve. There would be a pin in the slot that is what guides the sleeve.

False alarm, the hex reference was for an Allen “hex” wrench. Dohh!
All is well, oil and filter changed.
