Hello folks. I usually plow my 1/2 acre garden with my old Sears lawn tractor, or my really, really old Simplicity two wheel walk behind tractor. Unfortunately, they both broke down at about the same before I got my garden plowed for the season.
What do yall think about using the hydrostatic Husqvarna for plowing? I bought it last year for some heavy duty grass mowing, but now it looks like I might need it for some ground work. I fabricated a mount to attach the 3-point hitch from the Sears, and I made a few passes with a 1-bottom plow. The Husky worked beautifully, and the engine didn't even know it was dragging a plow 7" in the ground. But I've never had a hydrostatic tractor before, and I know little about the transmissions. Should it hold up for this type of work? Thanks!
