The last couple of days, the wealth of past information & awesome people of this forum have helped me solve what would otherwise be very difficult (for me) problems with my new 240D.

I checked bell housing bolts, a couple were a little loose & 1 was missing.... Fixed

I had foaming hydraulic fluid in tranny.... with help from past posts, fixed.. Somebody had put the wrong fluid in, I drained & flushed transmission pulled & cleaned screen (looked new) & refilled with O'Reilly's premium tractor fluid. NO MORE FOAM!

Dash warning bulbs were not working.... Checked bulbs, 2 were burnt out, contacts were corroded, cleaned connectors & put in new bulbs.. all lights (except oil due to oil gauge) work.

Temperature warning bulb would not go out.... Bad sending unit... had a spare water pump with new looking sending unit.. Put on new sending unit & wala LIGHT IS GONE!

Adjusted brakes & clutch, changed oil & oil & fuel filter (bled air from system after skipping bleeding air step ) Air filter on order from Hoye.

The service manual is awesome, but reading other peoples experiences from this forum gives the solutions that the manuals do not cover. What a great resource and an awesome bunch of people! Thanks again guys!

yep, this is one of the few places where you can come and find quick answers to specific questions about your not very common Japanese tractor.

Guys here are great, and the support and parts Hoye provides is priceless as well. They will ensure these tractors will be around for a long time, even by designing parts for these tractors.
