Well, as they say, "One man's trash...." The guy I usually have lunch with is using his lunch time to go get a load of horse manure. He composts it and adds it to his garden as often as he can. I would think the large feeding lots and horse operations could save themselves some environmental grief if they would set up composting systems and sell the product. I know it's not all that simple, but there is certainly a market. Ever priced a bag of the stuff at Wally World?

We had piles of horse poop catch. It is just from the heat generated by decomposition. No biggie. Well, with a pile his size I guess it would be a problem.
