Search for help on the IE hosts file. Edit it with Notepad in administration mode and add the doubleclick reference. You can add plenty of other nasty and/or bothersome sites. Basically, the hosts file is used to remap sites that a user selects. In most cases, it is used to beam them out into open space.

Now, I wonder what nasty PMS messages I will get for showing how to defeat annoying popups, back clicks, video ads, virus warnings, software outdate flashes, long running scripts and free insurance quotes.

Its an IE issue... IE handles some things foolishly. Switching to Firefox or Chrome will get rid of these problems and adding Adblock plus will make them work better.

Thanks all for the replys. I haven't made a switch from IE yet, but I do have Adblock. I had just done an Adblock update when this started. lt190b

On the IE menu bar --- Tools - Internet Options - Security Tab - Restricted Sites - Sites - add pubadds and any others restricting "back to" to the list. I have added googleads, doubleclick, mybuys and others to the list to stop or reduce their hold on IE.

Its not just a TBN problem, you are just only seeing it on TBN. Many others have had it on other sites (search for "ie back button doubleclick" for many people having this problem).

I hardly ever use the back button. Just hold down the control key and click the picture or link, it will open in a new tab. Also if you right click the picture or link, it will open in a new tab. You can open several pictures in new tabs and refer to them as you read the rest of the thread. :thumbsup:

BACK BUTTON I had a new version of ADD BLOCK PLUS popup on my computer this morning, installed it and the problem seems to be solved. lt190b
