hst jerky starts

I have a 2410 hst 4x4 when you go foward or reverse from a stop in high range it is very jerky (snappy)right when you go!
wondering if this is normal.Does not do it in low range. Hope someone can help!!!!!!!!! thanks

How fast are you running the engine? I would assume that if
you have it at, say, 2500 rpms, it will be more jerky when you
press the pedal than if you had it at 1500 rpms.

So...can keep the rpms lower, press the pedal, then push the
throttle back up.

HI Jim, I had the exact same experience with my 2 week old B7500. I posted the same question and found out that this is normal hst functions. High range gives a slight thrust in foward or reverse as the pedal is depressed. Low range is not noticable. I think you will get use to it after a while as I did. I am operating at 1600/1700 r.p.m's and find that everything works quite smoothly. Good Luck JETHRO
