42 hours so far maybe do the 50 hr service this weekend. Bought the filters & Super UDT a couple of weeks ago when I was in the area of the dealer and I forgot which filter goes to what. Factory painted the whole thing grey.

I could size them up or call the dealer but I'd like to be certain before I start. Also what would be the worst case if they did get switched, is a filter a filter if the threads match up???

Also I can't seem to find the screen which needs to be cleaned, I bought a 26MM socket & crawled under last night to check it out but can't seem to find it, it was getting late & daylight wasn't 100%.

I have read the manual & the 50hr service posts here on TBN over & over so I should be set.

3 drain plugs on rear end, not 2 like the manual says, 2 plugs on front end and one for HST.

The manual calls for 4.04 gallons of super UDT but I also have a BH which would add to that probably. Is there an optimum hydraulic cylinder position that would get more fluid out? Should the FEL & BH be fully extended, or at rest in float position with the pressure let out??

Probably making a mountain out of a mole hill but want to protect my investment. I am 39 and plan to have this tractor when I am collecting social security. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I am not familiar with the B7610, but on Kubotas L30 series, the HST takes full pressure. It would split the hydraulic filter almost immediately as it pressuried.

I have a B7500HST so I'm basing my info from that tractor.

The filters are on the back... They are not interchangeable. When you take one off look at it's shape on the side that screws against the tractor... One of the filters is pretty flat, the other is curved inward.

The screen.... It's beside the filter on the right side of the tractor. You have to remove the tire, then the filter. Have a bucket handy to catch all the fluid.

Did you check the manual under the service area? I know my manual can be vague at times but there's a lot of illustrations of where things are located.

Standing behind your 7610 filter #67955-37710 is on the right side. Filter #66021-36060 is on the left.

Once you remove one of the filters and compare it to the new filter you can tell which one it is. They are a slightly different size. There is enough size difference that you won't have any problem determining which is which.

I don't think it makes much difference what position the FEL or BH is in as long as they are on the ground so they won't fall when you drain the fluid. I just move the controls all around after shutting the tractor off so any pressure is off the system. You aren't going to get every single bit of fluid out anyway.

I didn't take the tire off my B7510 to remove the screen. I also didn't get much fluid out of it since I took it off after I drained the old fluid.

This is not rocket science, just ordinary stuff.

Don't forget to put a little hyd. fluid on the filter gaskets before you install them.

If your tractor is like most the factory filters are on very tight and will be hard to get off. I don't know why they put them on so tight at the factory, but they do.

Found the 26mm bolt for the hyd screen.

Doesn't look like I will need to take off any wheels.

Thanks

Does your Woods Backhoe use the tractor hydraulics? The Kubota BH on my B7610 has a PTO pump and doesn't use the tractor hydraulics. You have to drain, fill, and filter another whole system. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

If you do use the tractor hydraulics it's just like the loader. The fluid stays in the system and is diluted with the new stuff. Except by messing with the quick disconnects there's no practical way to drain the attachments.

Thanks Dave, the Woods BH hooks into the hydraulic system of the tractor, no additional pump just two extra lines to the main hyd system.

Do you remember how much of the 4.04 gallons that the manual says is in the hydraulic system came out when you did your first service? I bought a 2.5 gallon and a 1 gallon. Thinking that will be enough. 80W90 gear oil for the front axle.

Thanks . . .Skid

Not sure about the 7610 but the Operator's Manual for the 7510 doesn't call for changing the front axle oil until 300 hours.

First of all remove your FEL and any rear implements before you change oil, it will be a much more pleasant experience.

I just did my 50hr service on my L2800 and changed all fluids & filters including ft. axle in a two hr. time frame.
The B7500 I had would take about the same amt. of time.
