Which number did you call and does he have an extension? Is he with customer service? Who should I ask for when I call? I would like to check on my manuals.
What type of shaft did they ship with your rotary cutter, type 4 or 5?
Which brand of PTO shaft are they using? Were there any markings or model numbers on the one you have?
The original one that was on my rotary cutter was a square tube driveline and it was not serviceable at all. The square tubes were welded to the universals.
Whether mowing heavy brush or grass, you should be using a Grade 2 Shear Bolt or a Slip Clutch. I often tell people to start with Grade 2 bolts and then purchase a Slip Clutch if you find yourself getting annoyed at replacing shear bolts. If mowing mostly fields, a Grade 2 should be just fine. If mowing heavy brush & small trees (up to 2"), then have at least 10 bolts and buts on standby.
Let us know how quickly you receive the yoke. I was told on several occasions that my parts were "shipping today" and they never did. After about three of the "shipping today" conversations, I finally gave up; I received them a couple of weeks later.
