Seriously looking at an L5740 and would like to know if anyone has experience with the effectiveness of the AC on a hot summer day? (It's hard to test that now up in New England.)

Thanks!

It's only been in the high 80's in Phoenix, but it will put a chill on. Ask me in July when it's 115 degrees, then I will have a better answer for you.

Throw it on recirc and it will have the cab cool in a few minutes. Its more than adaquate.

The AC in my B3030 factory cab works well, however,if you are brush hogging in dry conditions, a small build up of loose hay @ the base of the radiator will cause the system to blow both hot & cold air.

Makes sense, your not getting any airflow though the A/C condensor... or your radiator.

Thanks for the replies - good information!

One dealer mentioned that Kubota has increased their prices and another mentioned that he thought the part number of the tractor might be changed to get a "dash one" designation. Does anyone know if there have been any changes to the tractors or just a change in price?

I have a 3710 the A/C has been more than adequate, also it dries the air on defrost when plowing.

The -1 models have emmissions equipment bolted to the exaust and a few minor items moved around. Auto throttle is now on the dash... other than that I don't remeber. The -1's are a good 500-600 more expensive because of emmissions. Thank the government for that one.

Great information. Do you know when the -1 models are shipping?

Thanks,
