Howes Rotary Mower MAYBE????

I need help indentifying which rotary mower this number identifies. I was told it was a Howes. After talking with Howes, it's not a Howes! Here's the number
from the mower:

6 S
055
7 5

That's how it's spaced, but no brand name is readable. Any help would be much appreciated.

Where is that number located? On the gear box or somewhere else?
