New to the forum, name is Rocco. Just bought a used STX38 JD. Looking for info on re-installing the engine mounting bolts. 3 of 4 were missing. Hope everyone has a good Spring/Summer and GO WILDCATS!

Well looks like I "bit the big one" on this purchase. 3 of four engine mounting bolts are gone, and the one that was left is a 3/8-16 self tapping bolt. Going to have to pull the engine and inspect the mounting holes (they go into the oil pan) to see what thread sizes are there. Gee. All I wanted to do was cut my over ankle length grass, not overhaul a mower. :confused2:
