Howdo I check the injectors and fuel pump on Perkins 903.27?

My M-F 231S is equipped with a Perkins 3 cylinder diesel engine which has run flawlessly since I bought the tractor used. I would like to check the injectors and fuel pump to make sure all is well. What do I need to do?

Remove them & take them to a qualified shop for testing.

OK. Once I have them back, how do I insure no air is in the system? If the pump needs work, can I send it to you pumpguy?

Sure u can send it to me.. BUT.. that pump & injectors is no easy process to remove.. the front of the engine has to come apart to get the pump off & it HAS TO BE timed using special timing pins.. its no easy task..& very intrusive..
The pump removal is taken off as a last resort.
The injectors are under the valve cover & again.. not an easy task..
These aren't something that is normally done by a "home owner".. it takes special tools & knowledge..

Is there an easy way to check cylinder compression?

Your absolutely right.. don't mess w/ it..
& no, theres no easy way to check compression.. the injectors are under the valve cover & intrusive.
The v.cover has to be removed, the inj. removed & u have to find an adaptor that mimics your injector..
