my current project is restoring a Howard 2000 tractor made in Sydney in the 1960-70's for the vineyard and market gardeners, there was twenty three attachments available for it .The origional model was eight hp and the later ones fourteen hp. I am fitting a sixteen hp b&s in this one. The only problem I have is finding a suitable clutch, as can be seen from the attached photos the clutch fits onto the engine shaft (1" diam 1/4" key) and is operated by the lever via the foot pedal , the clutch would need to be fitted with a 51/2 " b section v belt pulley. can anyone suggest a supplier of a suitable unit ?

jacmil , thank you for this information , I will follow it up .I now have a Tecumseh 14hp which was one of the origional engines fitted to the Howard 2000 ,this is now being installed

How is the restoration going. I have a Howard 2000 with a rotary hoe. Goes good but starter motor doesn't work, I think the battery is charging though. Good little unit.
