I damaged a bunch of stuff last weekend when I sucked up a big rock in my Kubota blower. My gear box is keyed, and when you remove the augers, you can slide the gear box and the key falls out. it slides up/down the shaft great till you hit the shear pin holes. I suspect that there is damage there which is why it won't slide off, nothing in the schematic shows anything else. Want to make sure I dont have to open the gear box. Just have to cut the shaft.

Maybe you could smooth it up with a file ?- the shaft might just be puckered up around the shear pin hole ?

I am thinking the same thing. I wasn't sure if it was purposely made not to come off this way. Just seemed odd that it stops at both ends of the shaft in the same place.

I filed it, noticed it bent at the shear bolt holes. The only thing I am not replacing is the gear box.

Thanks for the help.
