How would you feel if some stranger came and mowed your grass?

I mow my next door neighbor's lawn regularly without asking. Her husband passed away last year and for 20 years (since I've been in the house) I would come home occasionally to a nice mowed lawn. He never asked, but did mention one time that he was bored so he mowed my lawn. He was a very gruff man, and would tell you exactly what he thought about anything. One day, he was trimming some limbs on his trees and came to one he couldn't get to and he hollered across the fence for me to come over. When I got there, he says "get up there and cut that branch down". I did what I was told. Super neighbor! She on the other hand is VERY shy and would not dream of asking for help, but she never complains when I do mow. I have taken down a tree that she "mentioned" to my GF she would "like cut down" but never asked. I dread the day when she sells or passes away.

Can they use your mower? :D

Sure you can use my mower to mow my yard but not in the lake. I might even help out with the fuel :)

Don't be getting crazy now! It's one thing to let people do your work for you for free, but buying 'em fuel is where I draw the line!

Kind of like my Daughter..., can you help me with my oil change?
Not a problem, so I go get some tools, pan, and ramps. Get up under it, drain the oil, install new filter, and climb out. I tell her to go ahead and put five quarts of oil in it, and she asks.... where is the oil? Seems an oil change to her means buying me a new filter to install on her vehicle, lol, then installing my OIL.
Guess I raised her right, as that is pretty much how I taught her, ie, make sure you get the right oil filter.
