Mowing How well does the 60" mow?

I'm leaning towards buying a 2670 w/ FEL with a 60" deck instead of a John Deere 1025R. Can anyone tell me how the 60" deck mows on the kubota? Do you think the Kubota FEL is better then the 1025R FEL? One of the dealers around me
quoted about $15,200 for the 2015 Kubota above not including tax and a quick hitch is included. I thought that was a pretty good deal, do you think I am wrong? Thanks for your help.

Just an outsiders view, but the Kubota FEL specs arent nearly as good as the Deere. Also, the 7-Iron deck on the Deere is one of the best cutting decks in the industry.

I say all that, and I own a Kioti CS2410 so take it with a grain of salt.

I use a 60" deck on my BX. Cuts better than my JD D130. I have stopped using the JD.

Well, we have a JD2305 with the 62" deck and BX2200 and BX2660 both with 60" decks and the cut is good on all of them. I do like the double belt drive on the Kubota, but haven't had any trouble with the JD. I don't know who makes a better loader as we didn't get one on our JD and it may be different than the new ones anyway.

The 1025 looks better on paper and my wife and I went to look at one to maybe replace one of the Kubotas, but we just didn't like it. I can't say one is better than the other, so I'd just get what fits you better.

The BX2670 is the way to go! They are beasts In a toyish looking body.

I have a 60 inch deck on a Kubota F2100. It is 26 years old and always mowed well. Have about 2000 hrs on it and have changed the blades 3-4 times. Kept it greased and never changed anything but the belt (3 times) and the blades. Mows great!

My 60" mower deck cuts better than any other riding or push mower I've owned. I can't speak for the JD version. I didn't care for the JD loader not being able to curl and lift at the same time. I read that some people can "cheat" it, and make it work if all the stars are aligned and they hit the sweet spot on the joystick. That wasn't acceptable to me.

The key to any mower deck cutting well is maintenance. Proper level front/back, left/right, sharp blades, and running at the proper RPM. I don't know of any mower deck that does a great job when it's too wet or the grass is let to grow too long. Cheap lawn mowers may just have poorly designed mower decks, but in the range of the sub compacts - they are all HD and/or professional grade decks, and they will all mow well if the setup is maintained IMO.

BX 25D here with the 60" mower deck. I mow 5 acres of "rough" lawn (not manicured by any means) and the BX mower does a fine job and looks decent too. Nothing stops or bogs the mower at all.
I have mowed LONG, wet grass in almost muddy conditions in 4WD and the deck takes it all in stride. I used to mow commercially with big Exmark zero turn and the Kubota setup works as well if not better in the wet.

2370-1 with 60 MMM here. I have ZERO complaints about the cut capability. Ran it on my two acres the other night. Does as good a job if not better than a rider, at least the ones I have owned. No regrets.
