how to setup liquid fertilizer for 4 row cultivator

I bought a 4 row cultivator with tank and ground driven squeeze pump. I dont like how it meters out and would like to replace with 12 volt pump. Does anyone have any ideas how to set up and how you meter how much you are putting down per acre. do i need to know prerssure and speed. Any help nwould be appreciated. :confused2:

I think you'd be better off tuning the squeeze pump.

Without modern electronics electric is not going to give you satisfactory results.

You need to know pressure, ground speed, surface area covered, and rate of flow. Easiest way to calibrate is to hang a coffe can under the spray nozzles, start moveing the tractor at the desired speed over a measured distance, area and see how much fluid you catch in your coffecan. Once you know how much fluid you are spraying out, you can adjust flow, nozzle size or ground speed to achieve the desired application rates.
