Tractor
M5400
I am looking for suggestions on how to sell a M series tractor. Although I was told by Bradco that I can mount the bradco 609 backhoe to M4700 on a subframe. I purchased the correct subframe ($1800) and the subfame does not fit on the tractor with out modifications.

Ebay, Tractorbynet classifieds: Where else?

So you are going to sell the tractor because the backhoe doesn't fit:confused:

I never use eBay. I have sold my tractors on Craigslist. In my opinion it is far superior to the local newspaper and eBay. Its free and can be as local as you want it to be. Everyone out here uses it.

I love the tractor, but for several things I need access to a BH. Until the site work is complete at our house this is an important function. Unfortunately, I am now stuck with the sub-frame from Bradco. With $7500 in parts invested, I would rather find another M4700/M4900/m5400/M5700/m6800 to use the setup with. There is one for sale right now in VT.
Somebody will end up getting a nice tractor for much less than a new tractor. I would like to get $17,000 for it (with loader). Is that reasonable? A new M5040 is about $25K with loader.

I’ve just got to ask, if Bradco said it would fit and it will not why not return the backhoe frame?.

I am also hunting for a 5700/6800 4x4 but with a cab and R-4's. I need a used one that's priced right. The prices I'm seeing a ridiculous.

Yeah, what he said. Seems kinda like a case of cutting off you arm to spite your hand (or whatever that ole saying was).

I would not be upgrading after only 5 months of ownership if I had not found a better deal: Recent M series, front skidsteer QA with bucket and forks, rear remote, foldable ROPS and good evidence of proper service over the life of the tractor, verses bucket, no remotes, fixed ROPS and smaller tires and good service history.
The cost difference is in the noise.

Wife states we need to sell the current one prior to buying a 2nd. I don't blame her as that is alot of cash tied up in tractors for a hobby.
