How to rid Coyote's

   / How to rid Coyote's #131
Hunting is a funny thing, in the way that so many people do it so many different ways. And they often dislike the way others do it. There are a few hunting customs around my place that annoy me terribly. I also see people abuse some of the rules that are enacted to make hunting possible. Shooting animals just for the sake of killing seems barbaric, yet hunting nuisance animals quickly becomes a sport. Some of the best days I ever spent in field were hunting groundhog. I'm told that a groundhog roast is tasty if you know how to clean them. The ones we killed were just discarded. They were considered a pest.

You hunt your own children?!

That is pretty dang bold for a coyote. We need to be "shooting them back". More lead needs to be directed in the direction of coyotes. They are losing their fear of man. They are becoming more and more bold as they are hunted less and less. A 12 gauge loaded with #2's are effective to maybe 40 yards and is safe in nearly all areas. If safe in your terrain a good AR in .223 is good to 250-300 yards.
