How to replace the arbor shaft on a Legacy

One of my spindles got caught in a tarp and shredded the middle arbor shaft - Just flattened out the spindle so the blade doesn't hold- Got a new arbor shaft with bearings included- to change is it just a matter of removing the top pulley and the housing underneath- Does the shaft just slide out and replace with new one- Or is there more to it- thanks Ty-
