I recently purchased a 350B dozer (serial 0807101). Yesterday the hydraulics suddenly quit working immediately after asceding a short steep hill. No leaks. I topped off fluid to no avail. The next day the hydraulic worked for a couple of minutes then quit. I suspect restricted flow to the hydraulic pump from an internal filter in the resevoir. I can feel in the resevoir and the filter appears to have a spring type retaining feature but I'm a little afraid to pull apart something I can not see well.

Has anyone disassembled this before. I plan to go get the service manual and owners manual but would appreciate any experience. thanks in advance for any help

Thanks for the replies. Once I emptied the oil from the tank it was pretty obvious. I had heard you could remove with the oil in the tank (and they were correct). The suction filter to the hydraulic pump is held in place inside the tank with a spring and bolt assembly. Nothing fancy once you see it.
