I'd like to get or make a resin cast cat like this one on the Oliver (yes, Oliver tractors) mansion and put it on our shed roof.

I wonder if you put a chain or rope in a downspout if it would make for a great chipmunk/mouse highway?

I put a plastic chain in one of the gutter downspouts couple of weeks ago and so far it looks like it has solved the noise problem to a point where it's no longer an issue!

Its still little bit noisy when it's raining hard, but it's noticeable only if standing outside next to it.

No noise at all when it's just a drizzle.

I am sure in our case the debris screen is amplifying the noise if the water drops hit it directly every few seconds or so, like it used to be.

Never seen a chipmunk here, however we have enough squirrels and raccoons but they will not fit in!
We had two raccoons on the roof about 15 years ago, but the roofing was too slippery for them, as they found out the hard way hah hah!
Wish I had a photo, but it was in the middle of night and at first I had no idea what the heck was up on the roof.

I was sitting in my house one day and watched a raccoon walk over to my neighbor's house, grab the outside corner of the siding and walk up the side of his house to the roof like nothing. Pretty amazing.
