How to hook up an oil pressure guage?

I have checked the wiring to the oil pressure switch on the lb2204 that I have been looking at buying and it is all intact. So now I would like to hook up a mechanical guage to see the actual pressure. my question is what are the threads at the sending unit? Are they metric or standard pipe thread? Will a generic oil pressure guage that you buy at the auto parts store have the right fittings? I know this is probably a dumb question, but I have never put a guage on a foreign made engine. Thanks for any help-Scott

While there are a bewildering assortment of pipe threads out there, it is highly likely that the ones on the tractor are NPT (National Pipe Taper) fittings. Generic Oil Pressure gauge should fit.

They probably are a pipe thread but in a metric size. All the bolts that I've put a wrench to were metric. Maybe check to see if the gauge will fit a Toyota, Nissan, or something similar. Maybe a dealer will see your post and give you a better idea.

I guess I'll find out when I try a guage. It sure would be nice to hear from someone who has actually put one on their Kioti tractor though. I think I'll start another thread with a different title.
