I had to move some firewood recently and wanted to
accomplish this in less trips. So I took some scaps
of wood and and put together an extension for
to the FEL. The bucket now carries 3 times what I
could fit in before.

The plywood has two pieces of 2x4's with shims so that it
simply slides over the front edge of the bucket.

The side supports are also pieces of 2x4's. The are mounted with
hinges in the inside edges which allows them to be folded down for easy storage
and then up in where they support both ends of the outside pile.

Between the extended bucket, my rear 3ph carry all, and with a cart full of
firewood connected to the trailer hitch on the carry all, we can now haul
a good load of wood with a small tractor.

nice job.
I made one for my bucket as well that was a basic extention outward and about the same height as the bucket height. It worked well but the extra weight so far out front was tough and neded alot of counterweight.
So next I made some plywood extentions on the bucket in height that were held on with one boltThey extended the height up further and allowed for more wood but far less than the full extension
Reciently I made a new bucket completely, and designed it a bit deeper in legnth, and also added some scrap steel angle to made a extension on the sides and also the back of the bucket.I like this design as I can see through the angle, but it proved a good thing in moving snow bankings.
This past winter I made a frame and plwood botton that will attach to my new QA loader adapter Its super lightweight but allows for all the wod to be far back towards the loader arms. And I can also just ''drop'' it in the basement and not have to unload.

I would like to see this combination loaded with wood. Any stability/traction issues? Did you move over any slopes?

I made a three piece (bottom and two sides) metal extension for moving snow in my FEL. I pack the drifts for a month or so, then move them out of the way before they melt or pile too high. It will also carry over half a face cord down to the house from the woodshed. Bolts in and stays there all winter, even works for carrying and spreading sand...

None, and avoid stopes with this set up. Fortunate that my wood storage is pretty flat, by design.

I am fine with wood, but if I get a good chunk of wet snow or ice mix in the "snow bucket", then i have to watch my tail, even with loaded tires and a few hundred pounds of steel ballast back there
