How to get PTO to run w/o being in seat-wood chipper??

1) put tractor in N
2)engage parking break
3) get off tractor
4)pull pto button
5 operate rear pto equipment

I use pallet forks on my tractor a lot. Sometimes I need to stand to get a better view while running the forks under my load. I had a spent 410 ******* shell in my pocket the day I decided I had had enough of my tractor cutting off all the time when I was trying to do loader work. The ******* shell fit right over the little arm of the safety switch. It was just long enough to hang under a seat support and always keeps the safety switch held down. You could also use any small tubing or pvc pipe to achieve the same results. This same ******* shell had been on two tractors now. When I upgraded, I moved the shell from the old tractor to the new one.

On both my Kubotas, you would flip the seat forward before engaging the PTO.

My Kubota has the same switch. Have a zip tie instead of a ******* shell. I stand a lot to see the tips of my pallet forks.

Hooked my PTO generator up yesterday on my XR4046H. On HST transmission you set parking brake and put transmission in neutral. Engage PTO, set proper RPM and get off tractor. That's how mine worked. Had no issues.

It was easy. Got on my tractor, started, locked parking brake. Got off and put seat up. Then at a slow rpm engaged the pto. It worked fine. The chipper worked great. Really like this attachment. Oh, I have the Hydro as well. Also I checked my manual and really could not find it there. The way I did it was a recollection of something I thought the dealer told me. Just glad it worked but I will be doing a lot of chipping in the next few years.
