I think this is a kind-of related question:
Especially on my FEL grease points which I try to do fairly often ... after greasing I try to clean up the 'ejected' old grease as best I can with paper towels, but those areas alway seem to end up a "greasy zone" making the FEL joints look kind of old and dirty.
I usually just don't worry about it knowing that at least the FEL joints are lubed and protected.
I suppose I could Simple Green it and spray it down, but I worry that the degreaser will get into the joints and cause problems - so I leave them as it.
Thoughts on that???
