Sickle Bar How to attach to tractor

I have a John Deere 1010. Trying to attach Dearborn 14-59 to tractor for mowing. Top mount for 3 point doesn't catch, Also Large bar facing forward interferes with rear tire. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think that sickle mower dates back to the 50"s. A couple of pictures showing the problems would sure help.
