I have a Mahindra 4500/ 2 wheel drive. My back tires are low, They have, it appear water in them, maybe plus air. How do I get my back tires up from being low? Do I add air, or water? what special tool do I need to get water into the stem or air. Do I need to lift the tractor off each tire before adding air or water. Also do I need to make sure that each tire is turned where the steam is at the top before adding water or air? I do have a 125 psi air compressor still in the box, can I use this for air? Do I need a special water stem device to add water, can it be a garden hose with a attachment or what do I need? What is the air/water pressure for this tire (Mahindra 4500 2004).

You need this Quick Fill Tractor Tire Attachment | GEMPLER'S for the liquid and then air. Turn the tire so the valve is at the 10 O'clock position and pump the liquid in. When it runs out the valve you've got enough in. You will need to take the valve core out to put the liquid in.
After the liquid, put the valve core back in, turn the tire to 12 O'clock and put in the air, but not too much.

Thanks for the fast reply. How do you take the valve core out, are you talking about the whole valve stem, or the piece inside it. Is ther also a special tool needed for this?

If the tires are simply low on pressure, rotate them so that the stems are at the top, and then use a standard air hose/chuck to add air to the desired pressure. Nothing special in this regard. Before checking the pressure with a standard gauge though, I'd suggest burping the valve so that any liquid in the valve stem gets blown out and won't ruin the valve.

The kit referenced in post #2 is for the initial filling of the tires with fluid (or topping off in the event of a major leak). If the tires are simply low on air, the kit is not needed or used.

Almost all tires are filled with liquid only to the top of the rim. The rest is air. That is required to give a little cushion. If the entire tire was filled with fluid, it would not have any give, and something would eventually fail when you hit a bump.

If your tires are already loaded ( with liquid) I would just air them up. You need to run the valve stem to the top of the tire, and air them up like any tire. Max pressure will be stamped on the side of the tire. It is probably 20psi.

I did not know this. Thanks L4N. Fortunately I've not needed to fill/top-up my tractor's tyres since purchase but, the time will eventually come.

Mine are air filled as the worst gradient on my property is 2 degrees... however I helped a neighbour/Mate with his haying this summer and, at times, wished they were loaded. Some of his fields were, what I jokingly described as, escarpments!

What about adding anti-puncture fluid, would I need a specific tyre filling attachment?
