The 3pt hitch on my MT372 lowers FAST. It just drops the equipment. I turned the control knob under the seat clockwise to the stop and it didn't change. I tried to adjust the bolt in the center but no luck. Do I need to replace the O-Rings on it?

Thanks,
Tad

Mine did that when I bought it. Turns out there was a spring broken in the lift cylinder.
You have to pull the "head" from the lift cylinder and look inside. I used a spring that I had that looked like it would fit and it has worked for 10 years now.
Do you have a manual?
It was a very eazy fix with the manual.
There is a small spring and ball that restricts the oil flow and regulates the speed of the drop.

Thanks. I found the mangled spring just before you posted that. It also had a chewed up c-clip. The clip, spring and ball had fallen down into the piston and been smashed a few hundred times. The ball survived, denting the top of the piston a little but the spring/clip were gone. I ended up having to grind down a 5/8" internal c-clip to fit because I couldn't find anything in between that and 9/16" which was too small.

Thanks for the help!
