I’ve got 30 hours on a new mf 2760.
The dealer will be picking up the tractor to install the 3rd function at their shop.
Is it too early to have the 50 hour break in maintenance performed while it’s in the shop?
Thanks!

Nope....its not too early in this special case.
Its mainly just fluid changes anyway. So take advantage of the opportunity to let dealer do the service interval. But in the long term of tractor ownership, its best to get familiar with tractor maintenance , by doing the service intervals yourself.

Some tractors have break-in engine oil that actually has less lubricity than regular oil. Can't say if that is the case in your case.

Opinion: 50 is just a SWAG. Point there is to clean up any shavings left over from assembly and give new parts a little time to run in. Agree that usually a break in oil is supplied with the unit.....an oil that allows for some wear.

It’s not to early. It’s also my understanding that break in oil is a thing of the past.

I think sooner is probably better than later! How long did it take you to get the 30 hrs? (as in, ownership time)
