I have a pasture on Ebey Island with horses. Does anyone have any recommendation for prepping this field for Spring/Summer? More grass the better for the horses. I've attached a picture and would like suggestions. I've been advised that the grass will grow like crazy however I've noticed other field doing better at this point then this main pasture. I currently have a tractor (L3200) and rake (LA1526). I was considering a harrow. The ground is unlevel in areas and has been stumped by horses and cows.

Personally i use my springtooth harrow to bust up manure piles and break up the soil somewhat then just overseed with pasture mix. I have no irrigation so rain and snowpack is all the watering i get.

Too lush of grass is not good for horses (colic).
