How noisy is your kubota snowblower?

A good amount of greasing doesn't hurt to have on all the shafts including the blower augers. To do it when new is very important and we've found the grease makes a big difference in the noise. I recommend doing it everytime you use it for the first five times of use.

I would guess from your description that the auger blade is passing over the blower and causing the sound, actually more a change in sound. You wouldn't hear the sound unless at operating speed. Pass your hand in front of an electric fan & see if the sound isin't similiar.

Well I loostened up the chain a bit and gave it a shot of chainsaw chain oil. Seems to have quited it down considerably. Either that or I'm getting used to it.

I'll hit the grease points before the next outing - less than 1 hour on the unit so far.

You can pick up some really good chian oil at your local motorcycle shop. Dirt bikes are very hard on chains so they've developed some very good oil that stays on the chain. Should help keep the chain from rusting as well.
