I am looking at a new Kubota belly mower for my B7200. Currently I use a Land Pride finish mower which does a great job but is hard to get around trees and corners. My local dealer wants $1,850.00 for a 54 inch Kubota belly mower installed. We only have one dealer in the area and it would be nice to know if this is a fair price.

Sounds to me like he's asking suggested retail, so you may not be getting a "great" deal, but he isn't ripping you off, either...

kylempotts,
$1,850.oo for a new 54" belly mower w/labor to install the mower,{if there a pick up and return charge}sounds like the dealer being fair.

Check out tractorsmart.com. They have a section on mowers for the B-series, with list prices. There are two 54-inch mowers, the "nice" one (w/gauge wheels, I think) and the "economy" one (suspended). The list prices are $2219 and $1850 respectively, so the quality of the deal depends on which one they are trying to sell you.

Some of the newer mowers work on previous model tractors with a conversion kit. Unfortunately, this adds a little more cost to the mower. The B7200 is a case in point.
