My granfathers old farmall C got dumped off on me in pieces. Engine torn down, blocks been open to the elements for years. I don't have the back, neck, or time to mess with it. Some mechanic from a local dealer offered me 200 for it. It has the wide front end on it which I think must be worth that. What should I get for it, as a whole unit, 4-500, which no one will pay, or take the pos time to breakdown and part it out?

I honestly don't know much about the Super Cs but go sign up on the Farmall Cub forum. There's probably some good info on there regarding what some parts are worth. You could also go to Stiener and see what parts are new and ask for some fraction of that. You're likely not to get 500 for it unless you could get it on an auction in an area that those tractors are desirable. Like the 140s are around here. A parts 140 around here might bring a grand if it is in decent condition and just not rolling.

I think you know the answer to that. You are giving it away for two hundred. If I didn’t want to work on it I would keep it for parts. It will fetch more and it easy. Good luck sir

Location is the main thing. Might check around your area for salvage yards, they may give you more for it, maybe not. If you're on Facebook, there are more than several Farmal C/Super C pages there, someone is always looking for parts, and for some reason WFE's are popular. Easily worth what you were offered if in decent shape. If it has a complete Fast Hitch and the cylinder is retracted and not rusty should be worth $400+.

But, if no Fast Hitch and in pieces, set outside for years honestly, I wouldn't give more than $250 myself, and that's pushing it, if I was needing a parts tractor. Too many is salvage yards to pay much more than that for a few parts needed.

I hate dealing with messenger. 1 out of 50 people will show up. It does have the fast hitch, not retracted. And the block is exposed. Which doesn't matter he let water get down in the engine and it rusted solid, which is why it's all apart in buckets taking up space in the shed. I was supposed to get 40k dollars as part of my 1/14th next of kin inheritance, somehow my uncle kept 2/5ths of what should have been his 1/7th and I got my dad's old farmall c. That he traded my grandfather to, for digging the basement back in 1973, to which I had to jack up the house and replaced the basement walls a few years ago. So..... Family is wonderful.
