We have a Farmtrac 360DTC with a FEL and a Backhoe. The main use for this tractor is for these attachments.
The tractor has a 3-point hitch, but we have never fully assembled it. I looks like it requires taking the BH off and some of the bracketing to release a lock that prevents the hitch from operating while the BH is mounted. Then we would have to mount the lower arms and linkage to complete the hitch. All this would have to be removed to put the BH back on.
We came up this idea.
Since we have a FEL, we can drop the bucket/rake (we have a bucket and a rake) and use the FEL to connect a mower. Forming the lift bracket on the mower is no problem. We have plenty of scrap steel and a welder.
The tractor has a set of hydraulic quick-disconnects for powering an additional device. We figured we could mount a hydraulic motor on the mower to power the gearbox. This way we can lift the mower as well as adjust the angle to whatever angle we need.
My question is this: What size/power motor would we need to power a 5 mower?
