How much is your wireless phone bill??

Verizon Wireless is charging me around $130 per month for two phones and one tablet with 6GB of data.
Thinking there has to be better options out there?

$25.60/mo for Verizon home phone box, which beat the $50/mo Century Link used to gouge us for just basic telephone service.

$15/mo for 300 minutes on a $12.84 Verizon/Walmart flip phone (not a 'smart' phone).....and yes, they asked if I wanted an extended warranty on a $12.84 phone....ahahahaaaaaa

Plenty enough communication ability for me.

we are on an ATT family plan, unlimited minutes and texts, and 2 smart phones share 5 gb of data, with an unused balance
rolling over to the next month. we are paying for our phones over time with them so the contract is treated like we have
our own phones, not sure if it's any better this way. total bill now is 150 including the 2 phone payments.
i can pay off those phone balances any time, and there has been no interest that i have known about.

I searched all of the carriers/plans. I ended up with ATT prepaid "GoPhone" I used my own smart phone. $ 45/m for unlimited talk and text and 2 gig of data. There is a month carryover for data, so unused is available the next month. If you provide a cc for automatic payment, they deduct $5/m, so $40 in the end. One thing that sold me is, as they call it "unlimited data", so if you hit your data allowance, they do not cut you off, they just lower the speed to 128k. All of the other carriers would either cut off the data or auto add more for $$$. I have never hit my data limit since I use WiFi at home and work, and only when I am in the car or otherwise out do I use my phone data. We have 2 lined (me and wife) for less than most people pay for one line.

My guess is you have the two phones under contract, so it won't pay you to switch until you hit the end of contract. A tip - check your end of contract. When you hit that point, Verizon will let you switch to "bring your own" and that will save you about $25 per phone. The catch is that they won't always tell you that. If you don't ask, they will keep charging you for a phone you've paid off. If you don't need new phones, the cost may not be much higher than other options.

Also, if you do have to talk to them and you use a lot of data, ask them about free upgrades in data allowance. I've had them throw in an extra 2 GB twice now when I've hinted I might go somewhere else.

If I could find another alternative for home internet than Verizon wireless, I'd make a change for sure. Wouldn't complain so much if the home internet was unlimited and we could actually do Netflix and stuff without fear of running over our shared data allowance.

Verizon PrePaid, Pay as you go, PAYG ... $100 a year [ lasts a year if you prepay $100 or more, 15 cents a minute, minutes roll over each year ], works just about anywhere up here in the boonies.

I pay $266 a month for 4 smart phones, unlimited talk, text and unlimited 4G LTE data. I dont think they even offer my plan any more. I get right at 50 meg download at my house.

This may not apply because I am in Canada and you are in the 'states, but you asked. $60./mnth; unlimited local calling, unlimited long distance within Canada, unlimited send & receive text & video within Canada. Call waiting, conference calling. Call display and voice mail. Land line and cell phone are both with Bell.
The stupid land line cost me way more.
