How many projects do you have going?

/ How many projects do you have going? #22
I have lots of projects ranging from re-building a neighboors old Cub Cadet to building an incubator for my wife's chickens to building myself a backhoe attachment. In between all of that are things like parting out my dad's mower on e-bay, totally re-organizing the garage (with new shelves), and building a 3 pt. sprayer to keep up with the pasture and garden weeds. I have a remodel of our basement planned in the next few months. I have a lot of fence to fix, and I really want to run power to my storage shed (see backhoe above). I'm getting a lot less done lately since I discovered that Netflix has "Mythbusters" available to watch instantly.

For me there's no stress because my livelyhood doesn't depend on any of this. I know that at any minute I could just have a massive yard sale and be done with it all. I doubt that will happen, though, because I'm enjoying every minute of it. I think if I ever found myself without a few projects lined up to do I'd get depressed. I love this stuff!

I am glad I am not the only one who has way more projects than time, I currently have my cab project going on that I can not wait to finish, I am very exited about how nice it will be this winter but it has been alot of work! I should have it done in a few weeks. I havent been able to devote as much time as I have wanted due to other things that had to be done and my wife and kids always come first to me over any project :) although my 5 year old daughter just loves my Kubota and spending time with me in the garage so I think that will pay off as she gets older.

Guess it all depends on how you catagorize things! I figure Ya got your 'Honey-Do', your "Stuff That Has To Get Done", Your "***** That Happens", and your "Projects"!

Small jobs that need to get done, just to be done with them:
- finish the quick attach of my front loader (since 2005 i work with loose pins)
- lengthen the dump cylinders of my front loader to achieve 90 degree tip angle at ground - level (parts pre-welded, will do this week)

replacing the kinked parallel rod of my front loader is a STH project: I used it to bash the scrap into the old trailer, so it wont fall out during the ride to the nearby city. (i dont care about the trailer, i am building a new one and this one i will NOT unload at the scrapyard but just leave it there, as soon as the new trailer is done)

Anyways, when i had to pound out those pretty stuck pins of the parallel triangles anyways, i combined it with a semi-project, lengthening the tip cylinders so i can dump 90 degree vertical at limited lift height (I need that dump angle to get a dry haylage bale off the forks: Untill now i had to lift to max lift height to achieve 90 degree dump angle)

I just tried it "dry" and think i'll get 135 degree tip angle at ground level. Thats more than i hoped for.

I was just surfing to check the bend resistance of the 60x60x5 mm parallel rods of my neighbours frontloader, to see how much more they do than the 50x50x4mm tubes i bought at the steel shop: I think i need to put the old 40x40x5mm rods inside the new one to be 100% safe for the kink force that occurs in the odd occasion.
